Role Overview Position: Software Engineering Manager – Developer Experience & AI Location: London or Bristol (Hybrid working) Salary: £72,000 - £91,000 Team: Developer Experience & Release Engineering Reports to: Head of Platform Kaluza builds data-driven, AI-powered tools that help energy companies solve complex challenges and accelerate the shift toward clean, electrified solutions. Teams across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia collaborate with partners including OVO, AGL, ENGIE, Volvo, and Volkswagen. By combining predictive algorithms with user-centered design, Kaluza aims to make clean energy reliable and affordable. What You Will Do Lead and scale two specialized engineering teams, Release Engineering and DevX AI, focused on reducing engineering friction and developing AI-native workflows. Foster a culture of technical excellence and psychological safety, supporting data-driven, product-focused engineers. Define and maintain the roadmap for Release Engineering, ensuring frequent, reliable, high-quality code deployments for Kaluza’s engineering community. Guide the evolution of Kaluza’s Internal AI Engineering Platform, including infrastructure such as MCP servers and agentic workflows, to advance productivity. Encourage cross-team collaboration within the Kaluza Technology community to standardize and adopt best practices across the organization.
