This position provides a unique opportunity to operate within complex, high-integrity environments, delivering significant value throughout the product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect configuration management efforts across prestigious client programs, ensuring precise control over product data and changes.Formulate and execute CM strategies and plans aligned with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.Oversee configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits throughout the entire product lifecycle.Serve as a primary contact for clients, nurturing strong relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior configuration management professionals on the team.Assist in the development and presentation of proposals, capability enhancements, and internal service advancements.Ensure seamless integration with related functions such as engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, and project management.RequirementsAt least 5 years of experience in configuration management, preferably within the defence or aerospace sectors.In-depth knowledge of industry CM standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 10007, DEF STAN 05-57, EIA-649).Proven experience in leading or managing CM teams or initiatives.Familiarity with common CM tools and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar).Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting capabilities.Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance is essential due to the nature of the projects.Willingness to work flexibly across various client locations in the UK.Desirable AttributesDemonstrated success in a consultancy or client-facing role.A strong inclination towards service development and continuous improvement.Aspiring to advance into a broader Service Manager or capability leadership role.Ability to thrive in both structured and dynamic project environments.BenefitsStarting salary of £55,000-£65,000, alongside additional rewards and benefits.A highly motivated, diverse, and supportive team with a positive, people-centric culture.
