Role Overview: Licensed Journeyman Electrician Based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Licensed Journeyman Electrician will handle installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of electrical systems within data center environments. Safety, teamwork, and strict adherence to codes and procedures are central to this role. What You Will Do Install, start up, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems following drawings and codes. Carry out First Time Energization (FTE), switching, AutoLOTO, and load-bank connections and removals; provide Level 3–5 commissioning support. Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation plans; lay out conduit, cable trays, and devices. Follow approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and company safety protocols; keep accurate work records and service documentation. Support and mentor apprentices; coordinate with Foremen, Superintendents, project managers, and clients. Diagnose electrical issues, respond to service calls, recommend improvements, and perform acceptance testing. Take part in post-project reviews and help integrate lessons learned into future work.
