This Quality Controller position at itac-1 is based on-site in Chester, Virginia. The role centers on upholding rigorous quality standards for electrical construction projects, working directly with project teams to ensure every phase meets safety, compliance, and client specifications. Key Responsibilities Inspect and oversee installation of electrical components, including conduit, cable, MV/LV switchgear, panels, lighting systems, lighting controls, and grounding. Verify all on-site work aligns with project specifications, National Electrical Code (NEC), and client requirements. Conduct daily walkdowns and quality checks throughout active construction. Perform in-process inspections at critical milestones such as slab pours, wall closures, and panel energization. Supervise and document pre-commissioning and final testing, including IR, continuity, phase sequence, loop checks, VLF, and ground resistance. Collaborate with testing vendors and commissioning agents to witness and document activities, ensuring test equipment is calibrated and procedures are followed. Maintain daily QA/QC inspection logs, test records, inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists. Track submittal and RFI logs, and confirm that as-built drawings and redline markups reflect actual field conditions. Identify workmanship issues, non-conformances, or code violations and support corrective actions on-site. Work closely with project engineers, electrical foremen, subcontractors, and client QA/QC representatives to uphold quality standards. Participate in toolbox talks, safety walks, and progress meetings as the on-site quality advocate.
