The Senior Underwriting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Underwriters throughout the loan due diligence and underwriting process, focusing primarily on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Affordable loans. Our ideal candidate will have the autonomy to manage their own transactions with minimal supervision from the Underwriter. As an innovator shaping the future of commercial real estate, you will: Execute various projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Subject Matter Expert (SME), Underwriter, or Deputy Chief Underwriter (DCU). Oversee all underwriting activities for assigned deals, ensuring the quality of loan underwriting tasks performed by internal resources, facilitating timely and accurate delivery, while escalating issues and proposing solutions to the Underwriter. Prepare underwriting documentation for the Underwriter and present deals to the loan committee under the guidance of the Senior Underwriter and DCU. Build and maintain positive relationships within the underwriting network to foster business execution and shared goals, demonstrating diplomacy and adaptability. Encourage the professional growth of junior analysts by creating an engaging work environment. Mentor and guide them to enhance their skills through direct support, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
