Documenting design decisions and maintaining clear communication with suppliers is essential for this position.Key Responsibilities:Structural Design:Develop structural design concepts and guide them through the release process.Collaborate with IPT members, prepare review materials, and engage in design reviews and key baseline design events.Package equipment and systems into the 3D vehicle design.Select and lay out fasteners for the release of assemblies and installations.Support the maturation and release of assemblies within the 3D CAD environment.Supplier Coordination:Engage with key suppliers to ensure design integrity, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to schedules.Assist in generating Statements of Work (SOWs) to facilitate supplier bids and align with the structural design IPT objectives.Immediate Objectives (Next 90 Days):Become acclimated with XTI design tools and processes.Initiate the maturation of structural design concepts in preparation for supplier selection.
