Our dedicated Water Team in Ireland is leading transformative water infrastructure projects nationwide, working closely with Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) on major national programs. With over seven years of support for Uisce Éireann's Resident Engineer program, we're excited to expand our team with new Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineers at various levels, including Senior M&E REs, M&E REs, and Assistant M&E REs, to support the delivery of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Investment Plan.
As an M&E Resident Engineer, you will collaborate with Uisce Éireann’s framework providers to guarantee that every project meets rigorous quality standards. Your responsibilities will encompass significant water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives, including the development and enhancement of treatment plants, pumping stations, and additional capital maintenance projects across the Republic of Ireland.
In this role, you will embody our commitment to safety as a foundational value, serving as a safety ambassador. Your proactive approach will enhance the safety culture on-site and ensure all safety policies and standards are rigorously implemented across construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialize in the Mechanical & Electrical components of projects.
- Oversee the execution of site-based infrastructure initiatives for Uisce Éireann, ensuring adherence to health & safety, quality, environmental, program, and budget standards.
- Evaluate contractor documentation and performance, including MEICA design submissions, RAMS, quality plans, FDS, commissioning plans, and compliance with contractual commitments.
- Supervise MEICA construction activities, perform safety assessments, and conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with equipment specifications and approved proposals.
- Oversee commissioning efforts, including FAT, SAT testing, system analyses, and the validation of contractual performance guarantees.
- Manage commercial aspects of contracts, including the evaluation of interim and final accounts, variations, claims, and contractor performance against KPIs.
- Foster effective communication with the Project Team, Employer’s Representative, Local Authorities, utility providers, landowners, and the public to ensure coordinated project execution.
