The Interior Designer and Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing interior construction projects from initial concept to final execution. This position entails ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget across a diverse portfolio of multi-site medical office buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of each project, ensuring comprehensive oversight of the scope of work.
- Conduct thorough site surveys to assess existing conditions and perform field measurements.
- Create detailed space plans, pricing documents, design development packages, and construction documentation.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of building codes, TAS/ADA requirements, and healthcare design standards.
- Prepare and issue bid invitations, while thoroughly qualifying incoming bids.
- Review change orders and manage approvals for all pay applications.
- Establish and maintain project budgets to ensure financial accountability.
- Facilitate construction progress meetings to track project status.
- Evaluate contractor submittals and respond to RFIs during the construction phase.
- Generate internal and external reports regarding job status and progress.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Foster effective communication with clients and team members throughout project phases.
