As a Field Application Scientist based in Detroit, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with our customers daily, providing hands-on training at their sites, and offering comprehensive support in experimental design, data analysis, logistics, and troubleshooting across your region. You will serve as a primary liaison alongside our in-house Technical Support team, addressing customer queries and nurturing relationships. Your foremost objectives will be to foster rapid adoption and ensure the utmost success of 10x Genomics’ innovative products.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and 10x Genomics.
- Keep customers informed and trained on the latest advancements in 10x technology and software.
- Coordinate and deliver customer training sessions and demonstrations on-site.
- Document and relay customer feedback, issues, or concerns to management.
- Contribute to the expansion of support documentation.
Connect:
- Collaborate scientifically with customers as they advance their research utilizing 10x technologies.
- Engage in scientific discussions, fostering long-term partnerships with customers.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships, managing customer expectations effectively.
- Collect and convey strategic customer feedback and use cases to our Marketing and Product Development teams.
Support:
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to user skills, sample preparation, biochemistry, assay design, and instrument operation.
- Interpret customer needs and escalate issues appropriately within 10x.
- Assist the field sales team at trade shows, seminars, and technical symposiums, including presentations and networking with industry thought leaders.
- Handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
