Communications Officer, AdvocacyLocation: DublinContract Type: Full-Time, PermanentThe primary objective of this role is to play an integral part within the Communications and Advocacy teams, focusing on leading communication efforts for Focus Ireland’s Housing First service.Key Responsibilities:Assist in implementing Focus Ireland’s Housing First programme, aligning with broader objectives.Promote the positive impact of the Housing First Programme among various stakeholders such as funders, media, and community representatives.Lead the organization's response to crisis communications related to Focus Housing, especially concerning Housing First tenancies, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.Collaborate with the Focus Housing Property Team and Housing Support staff to foster positive relationships with tenants and communities.Engage individuals with lived experience of homelessness in projects involving media, research, and advocacy.Support the Communications team in addressing urgent media inquiries related to homelessness, as part of the crisis communication strategy.Work with front-line staff to enhance support and understanding for customer participation initiatives, particularly in crisis scenarios.Perform additional duties as needed, including database updates and reporting.Represent Focus Ireland at external events and in collaborations with other organizations.
