In this position, you will oversee the complete pension transfer process from a front-office perspective, ensuring that all operations are performed with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.The Pensions Operations Specialist will be responsible for collaborating closely with advisers and Client Service Executives (CSEs) regarding documentation, tracking transfer requests, and providing vital management information (MI) to inform business decisions.Key Responsibilities:Ownership of the Transfer Process:Manage Pension Transfer In:Upon receiving signed information mandates, compile a comprehensive pension schedule, including details on fees, bonuses, penalties, and underlying investments when available.Engage with advisers to confirm that transfers align with the best interests of clients.Disseminate transfer paperwork to advisers and retrieve completed documents for further submission to external providers, while verifying if a Personal Account Option (PAO) exists.Provide weekly updates to advisers on the status of transfers, regardless of progress.Once all documentation and requirements are fulfilled, including setting up the receiving pension scheme, hand over the file to the Pension Operations Team.Manage Pension Transfer Out:Review received instructions and liaise with advisers and Investment Advisors (IA) if in-specie transfers are requested.Coordinate with IA and advisers if asset liquidation is necessary.Confirm that pro-rata fees are applied to accounts prior to transfer.Keep clients informed about the process and any requirements.
