Key Responsibilities• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repairs or relocation.• Utilize hand tools and power tools for equipment assembly and installation.• Accurately set pumps and motors within defined tolerances.• Position steel beams to support machine bedplates, guided by blueprints and schematics.• Use hand tools and measuring devices to insert shims, adjust tension on fasteners, and ensure proper clearances between moving and stationary components.• Safely move machinery and equipment utilizing hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.• Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.• Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.• Grind and file machinery parts as necessary.• Supervise construction workers while operating equipment.• Work proficiently with a variety of hand tools, including measuring devices and welding equipment.• Determine the best machines, techniques, and tools for moving equipment and executing tasks.
