Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Director to lead and manage complex IT projects. The successful candidate will author comprehensive project management documentation in compliance with PMI’s PMBOK standards, develop detailed budgets, monitor expenditures, and maintain essential project documentation required by the State CIO. You will serve as a vital IT management liaison to business clients, leading hands-on analysis of business and technical environments, overseeing implementation activities, and ensuring project plans and schedules are adhered to effectively. This role also involves supervising both state and contractual staff, conducting formal presentations, coordinating with stakeholders, and instituting appropriate project controls while developing federally mandated documents and procurement reports.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and execution of project plans and documentation.Monitor and manage project budgets and expenditures.Act as the primary liaison between IT management and business clients.Oversee implementation activities and ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.Prepare and present project status updates to stakeholders.Supervise state and contractual staff involved in the project.Ensure compliance with federal and state project requirements.Develop procurement and status documentation as needed.
