Candidates must possess at least 10 years of experience in roles related to Geology/Engineering, specifically focused on the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites within New Jersey. A deep understanding of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Site Remediation regulations, OSHA requirements for Hazardous Waste Site Operations (including mandatory 40-hour OSHA training with a current 8-hour refresher and medical clearance) is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, along with exceptional oral and written communication skills. Experience in managing remediation projects is crucial; certification as a Licensed Site Remediation Professional is an added advantage.Job Responsibilities:Your daily tasks will include reviewing technical compliance documents such as Remedial Investigation/Action Work Plans and reports, overseeing contractor field activities, and recommending improvements when necessary. You will conduct technical reviews and research to support environmental remedial activities, monitor regulatory and contractor compliance with NJDEP regulations, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations. Interpreting NJDEP guidance and providing recommendations on its applicability to the Client Remediation Program is key. You will also be required to track project contracts and regulatory commitments. The ideal candidate should be adept at managing multiple projects in a matrix organization.Key Skills:In-depth knowledge of the NJDEP site remediation regulatory program and its practical applications.Field experience in conducting soil and groundwater remedial investigations and executing remedial actions in New Jersey.Strong communication and organizational capabilities.Detail-oriented, task-focused, and results-driven.Additional Information:Willingness to travel to various sites throughout New Jersey is required.No motor vehicle or public transportation will be provided, but travel expenses will be reimbursed.
