Job Description
In your role as an NPI Engineer at NTS Eindhoven, you will convert customer designs into scalable, cost-effective, and first-time-right production processes. You will operate within a low-volume, high-complexity setting, catering to clients in the semiconductor, opto-mechatronic, and analytical industries, where both quality and manufacturability are paramount.
You will take full ownership of the NPI process, from initial proof-of-principle to a controlled handover to the production team. Projects typically span 1.5 to 2.5 years, during which you will lead the technical and process elements while reporting to the NPI Project Manager.
As part of a cohesive team of 8 NPI Engineers, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations. You will also coordinate with international suppliers to ensure manufacturability and quality assurance, positioning yourself as a reliable partner.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Industrializing customer designs by translating specifications into manufacturable and cost-effective concepts, defining the complete product and process flow;
Designing the serial production process including layout, tooling, qualification strategies, ERP configurations, quality controls, and work instructions;
Facilitating process validation through Design/Process FMEA, SPC studies, and 8D problem-solving methodologies to achieve a zero-defect introduction;
Overseeing costs, quality, delivery reliability, and risks throughout the entire NPI process;
Coordinating with international suppliers regarding manufacturability, lead times, and quality assurance.
Qualifications
We are seeking a technically proficient and project management-oriented NPI Engineer with the following qualifications:
A relevant engineering degree (Bachelor's or higher);
Proven experience in NPI processes, preferably within high-tech environments;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
