Together, we will redefine the future of energy because time is of the essence.Your Role and Responsibilities:As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and optimizing the production processes for our in-house capacitors. This position offers a rare chance to collaborate with various teams (Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Test Operations), significantly impacting the commissioning timeline for Helion's inaugural power plant, and laying the foundation for our transition to mass generator manufacturing. This role is based onsite at our Everett, WA office, and you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Capacitor Manufacturing.Key Responsibilities Include:Design and implement rate-based assembly processes with collaborative support from Production and Engineering teams.Lead and oversee interdisciplinary projects aimed at enhancing the rate and throughput of the capacitor line, including aspects such as floor layout, tooling, build cells, and large-scale equipment.Assist in developing new business processes related to non-conformance management, process control, process safety, and asset maintenance to expand production capabilities and establish a robust foundation for high-volume production.Collect and analyze data (labor hours, cycle times, fallout) to identify production bottlenecks, and propose and implement effective solutions (design changes, process adjustments, equipment upgrades, automation).Spot high return-on-investment opportunities, including essential capital equipment and software capabilities that enhance manufacturing processes, in partnership with Production, Finance, Operations, and Facilities teams.Collaborate on the development of future processes while supporting and executing on existing projects.
