As the Chief Engineering Officer for DERICON at fe-fundinfo, you will assume complete technical leadership of a mission-critical financial data platform that operates under stringent regulatory standards. This is a unique opportunity to blend extensive technical expertise with strategic decision-making in a highly regulated financial landscape.
You will spearhead the transformation of a complex platform ecosystem, mentor cross-functional teams, and play a pivotal role in how technology aligns with regulatory requirements and business success. This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, large-scale projects, and forward-thinking initiatives such as platform modernization and AI integration, presenting both technical challenges and opportunities for long-term advancement into broader technology leadership.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading the complete system architecture of the DERICON platform, overseeing microservices, data flows, dependencies, and failure scenarios across the entire ecosystem.
- Ensuring compliance readiness as a deliverable, translating BAIT/DORA/BaFin requirements into technical controls, documentation, audit support, and measurable security and resilience outcomes while advancing the module-by-feature architecture.
- Guiding and nurturing a multidisciplinary tech organization, providing clear direction, prioritization, and technical expertise.
- Recruiting and onboarding key engineering talent, defining role profiles, conducting interviews, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Managing production operations comprehensively, including incident management, monitoring/alerting, on-call responsibilities, post-mortems, and continuous reliability enhancements across AWS and CI/CD.
- Overseeing release and change management, including rollout/rollback strategies, production readiness assessments, and controlled changes in a regulated context.
- Delivering concise decision proposals (risk, cost, timeline, compliance impact) to business and compliance stakeholders, and leading technical escalations with senior leadership and auditors as needed.
- Steering intricate, multiphase projects while balancing risk, regulatory obligations, costs, and delivery timelines.
