- Instructors needed for advanced elementary math classes
As a Part-Time Instructor, you will:
- Deliver an Engaging Curriculum: Utilize our proprietary curriculum tailored for advanced learners to lead small group math classes.
- Foster Student Engagement: Actively involve students in collaborative learning experiences.
- Manage Classroom Dynamics: Skillfully oversee classes of up to 16 students.
- Evaluate and Provide Feedback: Assess student performance and offer constructive feedback on assignments.
- Build Meaningful Connections: Establish strong relationships with students and their families, making a lasting impact on their educational journey.
- Inspire a Passion for Learning: Cultivate a love for mathematics and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
- A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- A degree in a STEM-related or educational discipline is highly desirable.
- Strong foundational knowledge in mathematics.
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring students is preferred.
Additional Notes:
- A formal teaching credential is not required for this role.
Schedule:
- Classes are offered in the evenings and on weekends. Candidates must be available to teach during after-school hours (starting as early as 4 PM) and/or on weekends.
- This position requires an initial commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
- Each course meets once weekly for a duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Campus Location:
- This is an on-site position at our Fremont location.
- Candidates must reside in Fremont, CA, or the surrounding area and be able to commute to our campus.
