About the job
To ensure the continuous availability of INSCOM’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) baseline, the Level 3 Systems Administrator will:
- Support the dispatch system and hardware issues, actively participating in the resolution process.
- Utilize extensive troubleshooting experience in IT systems; configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install operating system software.
- Troubleshoot and maintain network components' integrity and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets to agency management and internal customers.
- Administer desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, including account monitoring, security, operating system installation, and local area system administration tasks.
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and associated processes.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
- Handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Communicate escalation and status updates to agency management and internal customers.
- Integrate new technologies into existing systems, ensuring seamless transition and compatibility.
