Job Summary:
As a Mortgage Closer at Direct Mortgage Loans, you will play a crucial role in managing residential loan files from the "clear to close" stage through to funding. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all loan documents are accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner. You will coordinate effectively with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and internal teams to facilitate a seamless closing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and balance closing disclosures and closing documents in accordance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.
Coordinate closing dates and funding processes with title companies, attorneys, and loan officers.
Confirm that all underwriting conditions are met prior to closing.
Review title commitments, insurance policies, and closing statements for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate closing instructions and requirements clearly to all parties involved.
Verify loan terms, fees, and figures prior to funding.
Ensure documents are properly executed and returned for post-closing purposes.
Maintain accurate records and update loan status in the loan origination system.
Promptly resolve any closing issues or discrepancies.
Comply with regulatory requirements including TRID, RESPA, TILA, and company policies.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in mortgage closing, escrow, or title services is preferred.
Strong knowledge of residential mortgage loan processes and closing regulations.
Familiarity with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass or similar platforms).
Experience with Non-QM loan products and HELOCs is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple files effectively and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range of $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience.
