Join AECOM’s Building Engineering Division as a BMS Principal Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will influence the design, execution, and enhancement of building management systems across multiple sectors, including commercial offices, mixed-use developments, industrial facilities, and government projects. This position offers you the opportunity to spearhead innovative solutions, implement advanced smart building technologies, and leave a significant mark on the architectural landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the design, commissioning, and deployment of BMS systems that align with client expectations, regulatory standards, and sustainability objectives.
- Building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including clients, architects, mechanical and electrical teams, contractors, and senior management, while providing expert insights.
- Managing intricate projects from inception to completion, which includes feasibility studies, specification development, tender management, cost and bid analysis, and progress reporting.
- Conducting system evaluations and FAT/SAT testing, delivering comprehensive reports, actionable recommendations, and client training to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Driving business growth, mentoring the BMS team, facilitating knowledge sharing, and contributing to advancements in smart building technologies.
- Promoting best practices in Safety, Health & Environmental (SH&E), resolving technical challenges while ensuring compliance and cultivating a safety-first culture.
- Supporting the integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, utilizing your expertise in open communication standards and advanced BMS technologies such as Trend, Tridium, and Niagara.
- Occasionally traveling to project sites and AECOM offices, balancing remote and office-based responsibilities.
