In this position, you will ensure that all equipment is accurately assigned, maintained, monitored, tagged, and documented to uphold safe and efficient linehaul operations.Core Responsibilities:Serve as the main point of contact between Central Dispatch and Central Maintenance to discuss equipment availability and maintenance needs.Evaluate operational demands against maintenance requirements to make neutral, independent decisions regarding equipment allocation with minimal oversight from department managers.Collaborate daily with suppliers in Edmonton and Toronto to guarantee that outbound equipment lineups are completed by equipment type.Maintain operational continuity while ensuring compliance with safety and mechanical maintenance standards.Report conflicts or urgent equipment issues to the on-duty Dispatch Supervisor.Oversee the management of equipment relocations, service switches, and misplaced equipment.Complete late coding in the BK acceptance queue.Support equipment-related operational decisions.Plan proactive repositioning of equipment as needed.Identify inefficiencies and contribute to the development of effective equipment allocation strategies.Compile the daily “super truck” list to ensure equipment is in an available status.Conduct trailer bank counts as required.
