Job Summary
The Shop Floor Engineer plays a pivotal role in our production process by collaborating closely with foremen and machinists. This position not only supports production efforts but also addresses troubleshooting challenges and enhances inspection readiness.
As a critical link between engineering and manufacturing, the Shop Floor Engineer ensures that all parts conform to design specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate directly with the shop foreman and machinists on the production floor.
· Guide machinists in interpreting technical drawings and understanding inspection criteria.
· Facilitate parts through the inspection process, resolving any dimensional or tolerance discrepancies.
· Apply principles of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy.
· Identify and implement process improvements to minimize inspection failures and reduce rework.
· Maintain effective communication with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams.
