THE CONTEXT
To strengthen our Database Management team, we are looking for a Database Administrator specialized in SQL Server.
Our team, consisting of about ten DBA experts, manages over 1,000 databases (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) in a demanding environment utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Exadata, Azure, VMware, VMAX, VPLEX, and more.
YOUR MISSION
As a DBA, you will join our third-line support team, which consists of approximately ten professionals divided into two areas (Oracle and SQL) with hybrid profiles.
The team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our clients' MS SQL databases.
Your responsibilities will include:
Installing, configuring, optimizing performance, securing, and troubleshooting databases;
Participating in complex SQL Server projects (Always On, clusters, high availability architectures, etc.);
Intervening in sensitive production environments, with deployments potentially occurring outside of regular hours;
Evaluating environments to ensure the feasibility of upgrades, modifications, and extensions;
Staying updated with technological advancements and researching new solutions;
Contributing to the preparation of technical estimates and defining the architecture proposed by the SDA.
