This endeavor begins with factories designed to produce advanced composite structures atunprecedented scale, speed, and quality.As the Lead Build Engineer (Composites), you will oversee the integration, construction, and testing of composite structures and assemblies from initial prototypes to full production. You will work at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and testing, ensuring that our designs can be executed reliably, consistently, and at scale.This is a hands-on role that requires active problem-solving on the production floor, driving hardware projects to successful completion.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect the hands-on construction of composite structures such as airframes, tanks, ducts, and control surfaces.Manage daily execution against build schedules by eliminating obstacles, re-sequencing tasks, and sustaining progress.Translate engineering specifications into feasible builds while adhering to real-world constraints.Establish and implement bonding, fastening, trimming, and finishing operations.Oversee fit-up, alignment, and tolerance closure across complex assemblies.Develop and enhance composite manufacturing processes, including:Layup (both manual and automated)Cure cycles (oven/autoclave)Trimming, machining, and secondary bondingQuickly iterate processes from prototype to consistent mass production.Identify design and process challenges and implement effective solutions.
