Provide 24/7 monitoring, on-call support, and troubleshooting for database issues, and deliver operational feedback to development and release teams. Mentor and support junior database engineers. Work with database platform engineers on version upgrades and best practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5-8 years of experience in Database Administration. Deep knowledge of at least one RDBMS or NoSQL platform (such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, Oracle, or SQL Server), plus basic familiarity with others. Experience working with hybrid and public cloud environments. Background in supporting implementation projects. Proven ability to manage databases in high transaction and high availability settings. Knowledge of horizontal scaling and high availability technologies (for example, Oracle RAC & Data Guard, SQL Server 'Always On'). Hands-on experience with Solaris, UNIX, Linux, or Windows operating systems in both physical and virtual environments. Experience with cloud-hosted databases, preferably on AWS. Preferred skills Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
