Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough research and compile data for federal, state, local, international, and indirect tax returns.Prepare and review foreign direct and indirect tax filings, along with necessary reconciliations.Oversee monthly reconciliations of tax accounts on the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Independently prepare and assess quarterly tax estimates and year-end extensions to meet filing deadlines.Draft SOX control documentation.Manage information gathering for tax authority audits and other special projects.Facilitate communication and negotiations with tax authorities regarding tax payment matters through correspondence.Maintain the tax calendar, tax notice log, and carryover schedules diligently.Guarantee the punctual and precise filing of governmental surveys, property tax returns, and other indirect tax obligations.Stay informed on current and forthcoming tax legislation and requirements.Investigate tax-related issues across all applicable areas and document findings, while reviewing and implementing new or amended laws.Prepare reconciliations for unclaimed property records and associated filings.
