Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism, playing a vital role in implementing behavior intervention plans and assisting children in developing essential life skills within a safe and supportive environment. This part-time position focuses on home-based ABA clients, with potential for full-time hours as the role evolves.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support children with autism in achieving their individual goals.
- Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy, concentrating on skills acquisition, behavior reduction, and communication development.
- Accurately document data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and contribute to the evaluation of treatment plans.
- Employ behavior management techniques and strategies to address challenging behaviors, fostering positive behavior change.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Educate parents and caregivers on ABA techniques to facilitate the generalization of skills learned during therapy.
- Maintain detailed and organized session notes, progress reports, and other necessary documentation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during therapy sessions by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Stay informed about best practices in ABA therapy through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in keeping a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment, including daily cleaning tasks and ensuring treatment spaces are ready for subsequent sessions.
