Role overview The Platform Software Engineer will join the team responsible for building and maintaining backend services that power Speechify’s products. This includes areas such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, and integrations with external APIs. The role involves shaping product decisions, improving user experience, and working closely with other teams to support our growth. What you will do Design, build, and maintain APIs, including the public TTS API and internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking, balancing business needs and scalability. Own and improve the backend API ecosystem, focusing on performance and long-term maintainability. Contribute to B2B solutions, especially around customization and integration for enterprise clients. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure backend architecture supports product goals and delivers a strong user experience.
