Guidepost Montessori in Kent, WA seeks an Assistant Teacher to join a community serving children from infancy through age six. This position supports children as they develop independence, confidence, and curiosity in a Montessori setting. Role overview The Assistant Teacher observes children closely to understand their unique needs and responds with care. Daily work includes maintaining an organized, welcoming classroom and helping to create an environment where children can thrive. The role involves guiding learning activities for individuals and small groups, always with respect for each child’s pace and interests. Collaboration and relationships Building strong, respectful connections with children and their families is central to this role. The Assistant Teacher works alongside Lead Guides and other colleagues to support a positive classroom community. Requirements Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting Positive attitude and adaptability within a team Authentic interest in supporting young children’s development Willingness to learn about the Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience is helpful but not required)
