About the Role
We seek a dynamic and strategic Intellectual Property Attorney who will spearhead our IP and competitive legal strategies across our diverse digital product offerings. This role transcends conventional legal protection and reactive enforcement; you will leverage legal frameworks as strategic tools to protect our assets, actively monitor market activities, and apply legal pressure to maintain our competitive edge.
Your position will require a high degree of autonomy and discretion, working closely with our leadership team to identify risks, enforce rights, and establish robust legal leverage in fast-paced digital markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Defend and enforce intellectual property and trademark rights across applications, websites, marketing funnels, branding, and visual identity.
- Proactively identify, document, and evaluate infringements, imitation trends, and borderline practices aimed at capitalizing on our products.
- Oversee takedown processes, cease-and-desist letters, platform complaints, and other enforcement measures with a strong emphasis on efficiency and effective results.
- Formulate legal strategies that not only are formally sound but also materially hinder infringing competitors’ operations.
- Create and implement structured legal enforcement strategies that elevate the costs associated with non-compliance for bad actors.
- Continuously assess the market and digital ecosystems to pinpoint emerging risks and opportunities for legal advantage.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and executive teams to embed IP protection early in branding, naming, and product development processes.
- Manage external counsel as necessary while retaining strategic control internally.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in intellectual property law, with a focus on digital products.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record in managing IP litigation or enforcement actions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Legal degree from an accredited institution and admission to practice law.
