You will play a key role in architecting our agentic AI workflows, developing custom MCP servers, and creating LLM-ready repositories to streamline complex simulation processes and design optimizations. You will engineer automated toolchains, enabling our team to rapidly iterate on UAV designs with unmatched precision and speed.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Professionalization: Transform research scripts and specialized tools into modular, high-performance, maintainable Python/C++ libraries. Ensure adherence to robust unit-testing and documentation protocols, guiding team members in structured code development.AI-Augmented Engineering & Orchestration: Design agentic workflows and custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to integrate LLMs with internal CFD solvers and databases; document engineering insights into SKILLS.md or CLAUDE.md files for AI-driven code refactoring, automated simulation setups, and intelligent data analysis.MDAO Toolchain Integration: Create a cohesive design environment by developing APIs and automated workflows that connect various tools (e.g., OpenVSP, XFoil, and OpenFOAM) into streamlined optimization cycles.Infrastructure & Scalability: Optimize and manage our calculation infrastructure, including Linux-based HPC clusters (Slurm) and/or cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure).Aero Database (ADB) Management: Establish the data architecture for storing and retrieving high-dimensional aerodynamic results, ensuring that GNC and flight physics teams have a single source of truth for data.
