About the Role
As the Faculty Lead & Learning Engineer - Sciences, you will take charge of the undergraduate science curriculum at Outsmart, overseeing the design, development, and quality assurance of courses across various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, geology, and more from introductory to advanced levels. Your mission will be to create engaging, rigorous, and enjoyable science learning experiences while setting new benchmarks for science education in the AI era.
You will combine your academic depth with an innovative builder mindset, utilizing AI and modern tools to craft high-quality curricula, virtual labs, and assessments at scale. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with learning designers, product teams, and engineers to bring your vision to life.
Location: Positions available in Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Lehi, UT.
Reporting: You will collaborate closely with the Head of Academics & Learning Engineering and academic leaders from partner universities.

Your Responsibilities
Lead the Science Curriculum: Design and develop courses spanning biology, chemistry, physics, and geology (introductory to advanced levels) with clearly defined learning outcomes and a mastery-based approach.
Create Assessments: Develop both formative and summative assessments.
Utilize AI & Tools: Employ AI and modern tools to create interactive educational content, such as virtual science labs, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.
