Expect a remote-first working model with occasional in-person gatherings at your closest office for team bonding, strategic planning, or other significant moments. At Tripadvisor, our engineers are adaptable and relish tackling diverse technical challenges. This is primarily a backend-focused full-stack role, where you'll predominantly work on backend tasks, with occasional frontend projects. While a strong desire to learn is essential, prior expertise in frontend development is not a prerequisite; we provide on-the-job training. Within our dynamic environment, our engineers collaborate closely with product managers and designers, engaging in the entire software development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing and deployment. Most of our engineers release code to production every few days, following a daily release cycle. Our tech stack includes Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL, and NoSQL databases, all hosted on AWS. While familiarity with every technology is not mandatory, a strong willingness to learn is crucial. You should have experience with a statically typed, object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or C++.
