About the job
Framestore’s Preproduction Services division empowers filmmakers and showrunners to make impactful early-stage creative decisions that shape their entire production journey. Our team comprises over a hundred talented creatives, technologists, and producers specializing in concept art, previsualisation, virtual production, in-camera VFX, techvis, and postvis.
At Framestore, we blend creativity with cutting-edge technology to bring our visions to life. Every day, we strive to redefine the limits of possibility.
As a Previs Artist, you will craft pre-visualised shots and sequences for various projects. Collaborating closely with the Visualisation Supervisor, you will define shot composition, staging, lighting, and camera language—encompassing movement, lens choices, and framing. Our Previs Artists are viewed as in-house cinematographers and 3D storyboarders, visualising the Director's initial edit, which informs the shoot and post-production VFX lifecycle.
Your role will also involve producing technical diagrams and animated schematics, commonly referred to as 'techvis', based on the previsualisation work.
Framestore supports a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of two days per week at our central London studio, with potential on-set work for up to five days per week as project demands dictate.
