As a seasoned Test Manager, you will collaborate with our client's Loyalty team to provide exceptional, high-quality digital experiences for millions of customers. Your leadership will shape the testing strategy, ensuring the reliability of systems that seamlessly integrate personalized offers and mission-oriented rewards into the customer journey. You will work closely with developers, data scientists, and the core loyalty platform team to create a modern digital ecosystem fueled by data and advanced technology.
This position is an initial 6-month contract (outside IR35) requiring your presence on-site 3 days a week in Paddington, London.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Leadership & Strategy
- Define and oversee the comprehensive testing strategy across functional, integration, and performance layers.
- Lead quality assurance efforts across a multi-team program, integrating end-to-end automated tests with integration tests.
- Establish and continuously enhance QA frameworks, standards, and processes to uphold software quality and reliability.
- Promote automation, continuous testing, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices within delivery pipelines.
Team Management & Development
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing test team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Plan resource allocation, workload distribution, and skill enhancement across projects.
- Encourage close collaboration among testing, development, and product teams to ensure collective accountability for quality.
Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and delivery teams to synchronize testing activities with sprint goals and release schedules.
- Track and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and risk management strategies.
- Advance early quality engagement through test-driven, shift-left, and automated testing methodologies.
Quality Governance & Tooling
- Ensure compliance with our client's quality and regulatory standards.
- Choose, implement, and optimize testing tools and environments across functional, API, and performance testing.
- Manage defect tracking, release validation, and production support readiness.
