This Facilities Operations Specialist role is based in Los Angeles and focuses on supporting daily operations across engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing spaces. The position is key to maintaining smooth workplace coordination, managing digital maintenance systems, ensuring vendor compliance, and handling construction documentation with care.
Reporting to the Director, the Facilities Operations Specialist will help strengthen operational discipline and documentation, enabling leadership to focus on broader initiatives. The role also offers opportunities to manage small-scale projects and gradually assume more management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Workplace Coordination (about 40%):
- Oversee and track employee facilities service requests from start to finish.
- Coordinate seating assignments, employee moves, and workspace readiness.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with IT, HR, and Security.
- Manage access control requests and general workplace logistics.
- Monitor service levels and response times to maintain consistent execution.
- CMMS & Systems Administration (about 30%):
