You will collaborate with truck dealers and transport managers to maintain precise records, ensuring our fleet is roadworthy and adheres to DVSA guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Planning:Establish and manage maintenance schedules for all fleet assets according to manufacturer guidelines and best practices.Facilitate visibility of maintenance plans across Transport Depots for optimal coordination with operational needs.Assist the Fleet Engineering Manager in ensuring service provider networks meet company and depot standards.Implement breakdown and recovery arrangements in all operational areas.Coordinate MOTs and statutory inspections.Verify that each transport asset has a proper driver checklist and confirm that drivers utilize the correct checklists.Oversee contract mileage and manage asset relocations when mileage limits are exceeded.Monitor vehicles approaching the end of their lease and report accordingly.Ensure fleet maintenance resources are available to meet operational demands through effective staff rostering.Support the recruitment and retention of Fleet Maintenance Coordinators.Maintenance Execution:Oversee daily vehicle preventive maintenance operations, services, and repairs while supervising Fleet Maintenance Coordinators.Ensure efficient vehicle booking and completion of scheduled work with approved garages to minimize downtime.Address maintenance issues with cost-effective and efficient solutions.Utilize vehicle telematics to identify and resolve engine fault codes.Maintenance Administration:Employ the maintenance management system to log schedules and issue Work Orders/Purchase Orders.Oversee the uploading of maintenance records onto the management system.Ensure all vehicle maintenance checks are current.Manage and analyze repair costs, invoices, and applications.Lead Fleet Maintenance Coordinators to guarantee exceptional service delivery and record-keeping for transport depots.Monitoring & Improving Maintenance Activities:Record and report service delivery KPIs, including vehicle downtime and timely service completion.Provide monthly reports on service provider efficiency and address issues raised.Collaborate with the Transport Management Team to drive continuous improvement efforts.
