What You Will Do Month-End and Quarter-End Close: Lead closing activities, including posting journal entries and accruals in NetSuite. Internal Controls and Compliance: Strengthen the internal control framework to support SOX compliance and company policies. Tax and Regulatory Filings: Coordinate with internal and external teams to prepare and review tax filings at federal, state, and local levels, and manage complex reporting requirements. Sales and Use Tax: Oversee all aspects of sales tax compliance, from monitoring nexus thresholds to filing returns, handling state inquiries, and managing registrations. Audit Support: Prepare for and support both internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and compliance are in order. Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Accounts Payable, Billing, HR, Legal, and FP&A to improve workflows. Financial Analysis: Review financial data to spot discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and support special projects with actionable insights. Revenue Recognition: Help review customer contracts for compliance with ASC 606 standards. Process Improvement: Identify and help implement ways to make accounting processes more efficient and effective.
