About the job
About Quandela:
Quandela is an innovative European deeptech scale-up specializing in the development of modular, scalable, and energy-efficient photonic quantum computers that are accessible both via the cloud and on-premises. Our dedicated team of over 140 professionals is committed to designing our own hardware and software solutions, spanning from semiconductor quantum emitters to sophisticated quantum control systems and algorithms.
We aim to transform advanced quantum optics into functional quantum computing systems, with a particular focus on hybrid architectures that integrate photonic qubits and spin-based quantum memories. This approach is pivotal for realizing scalable cluster-state quantum computing.
About This Position:
Based at IPVF in Massy, this role is integral to our Semiconductor R&D division, specifically within the Spin Cluster / Cooling team. The team is engaged in creating experimental platforms for achieving spin-photon and spin-spin entanglement. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance and stabilize spin-photon cluster state generation, employing rapid optical control techniques that operate on a nanosecond timescale.
By working at the intersection of theoretical and experimental physics, you will translate cluster-state protocols into reliable and reproducible laboratory practices, contributing to demonstrator milestones and facilitating the progression of these concepts towards scalable hardware solutions.
