Role overview
The Technical Consultant - Public Sector joins Appian’s Customer Success team to help clients achieve their goals through digital transformation. This position centers on guiding customers through projects that use the Appian platform, including AI-powered solutions.
What you will do
- Work directly with clients after the sales process to design and build custom software on the Appian platform
- Lead clients through the full project lifecycle: define requirements, design solutions, develop features, and implement new systems
- Collaborate in an agile team to understand business processes, launch relational data models, and develop APIs for integration
- Identify and implement AI use cases using Appian tools such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models
- Support both technical teams and business users at client organizations as they build and manage process applications
Location and work environment
This role is based onsite at Appian’s headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Employees in this position are expected to work in the office 4 to 5 days per week. The office setting encourages collaboration, idea sharing, and team celebrations. In-person client meetings are an important part of the job.
