We are currently seeking a Senior Radar FPGA/Embedded Systems Engineer to enhance our expanding team. The Radar Systems group at LeoLabs focuses on the development, maintenance, and operation of advanced software for phased array radars. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and deploying the FPGA images utilized in our in-house Software Defined Radios (SDRs), along with the control software needed to interface with the radar and its drivers.

Your contributions will directly influence mission-critical radar systems that bolster national security, commercial space operations, and overall safety in space by enabling precise detection, tracking, and analysis of objects in orbit.
Key Responsibilities:
Xilinx Platform Ownership
- Oversee and maintain the Xilinx Vivado + Yocto projects from inception to deployment.
- Enhance and secure the development and production environments.
- Update existing projects to be compatible with current Xilinx tool versions.
- Establish a dependable process for building, packaging, and deploying FPGA/boot images to both local and remote devices.
RF Signal Processing-Focused FPGA Development
- Refine and enhance FPGA-based RF/radar signal processing chains.
- Collaborate with RF/signal processing stakeholders to translate performance requirements into FPGA modifications.
- Manage fixed-point design trade-offs and validate against system-level metrics.
