Role overview
The Metrology Technician (Dayshift, Monday through Thursday) will work at the satellite production facility in Midland, TX. This position centers on dimensional inspection and validation of complex satellite assemblies and precision components. The work plays a key role in supporting the quality and reliability of advanced space hardware.
What you will do
- Inspect and validate satellite assemblies and precision parts for dimensional accuracy
- Ensure products meet engineering specifications and aerospace standards
- Operate advanced measurement equipment, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Laser Trackers, Portable Measurement Arms (Romer Arms), and 3D Laser Scanning systems
- Document inspection results and contribute to quality assurance processes in a production environment
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or mechanical assembly is valuable
- Background in metrology, quality inspection, or related technical fields is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with precision measurement tools
Location and relocation
This position is based at the Midland, TX satellite production facility. Full relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. Applications are encouraged from El Paso and other locations.
