Your Team's Dynamics:
The Engineering Effectiveness group is dedicated to ensuring efficient, predictable, and high-quality delivery within Genetec's engineering organization. The PMO supports cross-functional projects involving hardware, firmware, and software to guarantee alignment and seamless execution from concept to production.
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role bridging hardware development (NPI), firmware, software delivery, and manufacturing readiness—eliminating silos, clarifying responsibilities, and ensuring a smooth transition from concept to market launch. You will join a team of experienced project managers who provide robust coaching, structured onboarding, and tailored training.
Your Day at a Glance:
- Monitor hardware development progress, from design validation to production readiness.
- Support manufacturing readiness reviews (MRR) and track deliverables and timelines.
- Incorporate NPI requirements into project planning and tracking across hardware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, testing, and operations.
- Coordinate certification and compliance activities (laboratory planning, sample availability, testing status, regional approvals).
- Identify and manage hardware and manufacturing risks, ensuring visibility of mitigation plans.
- Map dependencies between hardware, firmware, and manufacturing and identify upstream misalignments.
- Transform technical updates into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Track engineering KPIs, DevOps data, and Kanban metrics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering tools, processes, and workflows.
Communication and Reporting
- Ensure clear communication between engineering, hardware, manufacturing, and operations.
- Maintain dashboards reflecting hardware and software progress, including NPI milestones.
- Prepare concise and accurate updates for stakeholders.
- Provide structured insights to support management decision-making.
What Makes You an Excellent Candidate:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in project management or delivery management.
- Understanding of software development flows and hardware/NPI cycles.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
