About SE3 Labs
At SE3 Labs, we are pioneering Spatial AI by merging 3D computer vision with advanced large language models (LLMs). We are committed to revolutionizing automation across various sectors, from construction to smart infrastructure and defense. Currently, we are developing a physical platform to actualize Spatial AI, starting with high-performance UAVs, and we need a proactive operator to help us fly, demonstrate, and optimize these systems.
Your Role
As our Drone Test and Field Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring our fleet of autonomous drones remains airborne and operational. Collaborating with our development team, you will breathe life into new drone technologies, integrating hardware and software, while systematically testing their capabilities in real-world conditions. Your insights will shape our understanding of technology and guide the course of our future innovations.
Key Responsibilities
Integration & Checkout: Collaborate closely with hardware and software developers to ensure seamless integration and flight readiness of new UAVs.
Flight Operations: Perform tuning, flashing, and operation of drones ranging from compact quadcopters to expansive fixed-wing aircraft.
Testing & Feedback: Lead qualification and testing flights, managing everything from planning to execution and data analysis.
Improvements & Suggestions: Identify potential bugs and design flaws, propose enhancements, and contribute to our rapid development cycle.
Demonstration & Training: Showcase our systems to partners and end users both at our test base and in the field across Europe.
Your Qualifications
A completed technical apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in assembling, tuning, and operating drones, or equivalent experience in competitive racing or similar environments.
