Role overview
The Operational Risk Manager will work to improve the consistency and impact of operational risk processes. The role involves evaluating business operations from end to end, identifying key risk factors, and assessing whether controls are designed and implemented effectively. A core part of the job is to provide oversight, review, and credible challenge to ensure risks are properly monitored, escalated, and addressed.
What you will do
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify and assess operational risks, with a focus on key risk drivers and the effectiveness of controls.
- Conduct process-level risk reviews to understand how risks arise in daily activities, highlight control gaps, and spot emerging risk themes.
- Support the ongoing development of the operational risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, escalation, and documentation.
- Participate in Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), contribute to risk identification discussions, and provide credible challenge to assessments.
