In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing our Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure utilizing Cisco equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience with Cisco network devices, alongside a thorough understanding of network architecture, design, and troubleshooting practices. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficiency, security, and scalability of our organization's network infrastructure, thereby providing reliable connectivity and supporting daily network operations.Position Type: Full-TimeSalary: $70,000 - $75,000 annually (commensurate with experience)Work Location: Full-Time onsiteWork Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to FridayKey Responsibilities:Network Management: Oversee and maintain the organization's LAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime through configuration, installation, and support of Cisco networking hardware and software.Configuration and Setup: Configure and deploy Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and additional network devices to establish a secure, high-performing LAN environment.Network Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network issues (hardware, software, connectivity) by analyzing logs, running diagnostics, and implementing necessary fixes to sustain network performance and availability.Network Optimization: Monitor network performance with management tools and proactively execute optimization measures to ensure speed, reliability, and scalability, while suggesting improvements for network efficiency.Security Management: Implement and manage security policies and access control lists (ACLs) to safeguard the integrity of the LAN.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.Collaboration: Work closely with IT staff, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network systems and support the broader technology infrastructure of the organization.Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan, schedule, and execute network hardware/software upgrades and routine maintenance tasks to ensure the continued smooth operation of the LAN.Other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Ability to work in an office environment, which may involve occasional lifting of networking equipment.Some on-call availability may be required for emergency network issues.
