The Vice President, Store Development for North America leads Arc’teryx’s retail growth and optimization across Canada and the United States. This executive role oversees all aspects of store development, including design, construction, lease administration, and site assessment. The VP ensures that store projects meet quality standards, stay on schedule, and remain within budget, while carefully evaluating new lease commitments for accuracy and competitiveness.
What You Will Do
- Drive the strategic expansion of Arc’teryx retail locations throughout North America
- Oversee the full lifecycle of store development: from location scouting and site assessment to design, construction, and opening
- Lead real estate negotiations and manage lease agreements
- Optimize existing store locations and manage relocations as needed
- Ensure new store launches are successful and support ongoing store performance
- Maintain high standards for quality, timelines, and budget adherence in all projects
- Analyze and approve new lease commitments to ensure they meet business needs and market standards
Team and Collaboration
This role reports to the General Manager, North America. The VP leads a team of specialists in real estate, construction, and store design. Collaboration is central: work closely with stakeholders in retail, finance, branding, and legal to align on goals and deliver results.
The Store Development Team partners with strategic collaborators to open new retail locations. Key activities include identifying and evaluating potential sites, preparing business cases and executive summaries, and working with regional teams to shape a three-year market strategy.
