About the Role TechFlow, through its subsidiary EMI Services, is hiring an HVAC General Maintenance Technician for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. This position focuses on keeping commercial HVAC systems running smoothly by handling maintenance, preventive care, and repairs. The role supports skilled trades by gathering materials and tools, maintaining tidy work areas, and following safety guidelines at all times. Compensation $24.83 per hour plus $5.09/hour in fringe benefits that can be used for insurance and 401k contributions. Benefits Generous paid time off: vacation, sick leave, and federal holidays Stable, year-round employment Tuition reimbursement for professional development Opportunities for advancement and career growth What You Will Do Inspect, operate, or test HVAC equipment to diagnose malfunctions Perform routine maintenance: check drives, motors, pulleys, belts, maintain fluid levels, replace filters, and follow maintenance checklists Lubricate and clean shafts, bearings, gears, and other components Dismantle machinery to access and replace defective parts, then reassemble Document maintenance and repair work, including types and costs Order necessary parts and supplies from catalogs, suppliers, or storerooms Assist with other duties as assigned What You Bring Knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC methods, materials, tools, and equipment Ability to operate cutting torches or welding equipment safely Experience with hand tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices Flexible and adaptable approach to work, able to prioritize tasks for timely completion Strong commitment to safety in all equipment and tool use

Your proficiency with hand and power tools, coupled with your ability to read blueprints and repair manuals, will be essential in this role.Key Responsibilities:Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment.Execute preventive maintenance tasks.Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrections.Conduct electrical tests, analyze results, and resolve electrical problems.Construct shop tables, jigs, tooling, and machinery using general shop tools.Interpret blueprints and repair manuals.Supervise contractors for professional repairs when necessary.Build crates for shipping products or equipment.Work at heights using ladders and scissor lifts for electrical and plumbing tasks as well as facility repairs.Schedule contractors for repairs beyond the scope of the Non-production team, including obtaining quotes.Maintain company vehicles, including transporting them to external auto shops for repairs.Utilize necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the work environment.Perform other reasonable duties as required by business needs — overtime may be necessary.
