General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is in search of a detail-oriented and analytical professional to spearhead the financial planning, reporting, and performance optimization of our supply chain operations. This role merges extensive financial acumen with a focus on process enhancement, ensuring that material cost estimates, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) are precise, transparent, and strategically aligned with our mission-critical programs. The successful candidate will act as the chief financial steward for the Canadian supply chain function, collaborating with senior analysts, program managers, procurement, and external suppliers to enhance cost-effectiveness, mitigate risks, and promote continuous improvement.Core Responsibilities:Develop and sustain financial reports and dashboards for supply chain operations, providing insights for senior leadership.Monitor, analyze, and report on internal and supplier KPIs that impact financial performance (e.g., cost variance, spending efficiency, on-time delivery).Implement Material Estimates at Complete (EAC) and conduct comprehensive cost-to-complete analyses.Perform trend analyses on material cost escalation and devise strategies for cost reduction.Manage the material budget baseline, ensuring integration of opportunities, risk tracking, and variance analyses.Create and uphold material target strategies that correspond with program financial objectives.Develop analytical models to assess supply chain performance, cost drivers, and profitability.Offer data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to optimize costs and inform strategic investment decisions.Assist in customer quotation activities, focusing on supplier interaction, quote review, database updates, and financial accuracy in data analysis.Lead supply chain optimization initiatives that yield measurable financial outcomes.Design and implement end-to-end operational and performance metrics to foster continuous improvement and support strategic initiatives.Identify and rectify system deficiencies impacting financial data integrity.Represent General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada in supply chain system and software implementations to ensure financial data consistency.Key Deliverables:Monthly/quarterly financial performance reports detailing cost variance, budget status, and KPI trends.Material Cost Baseline and Risk Register, updated each program phase.Analytical models and business cases for cost-saving initiatives.KPI dashboard providing real-time insights into financial health across supply chain partners.Recommendations for system enhancements aimed at improving financial data capture and reporting accuracy.
